Description	:	Ruth Isabelle (Beverage) Glandt, daughter of Fredric Clay "Fred" and Edith Louise (Jones) Beverage, was born May 16, 1929, at Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Ruth died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in Omaha, Nebraska. Ruth grew up in the Plattsmouth and Omaha, Nebraska area, where she attended Benson High School in Omaha, and later graduated from Boise High School after moving to Boise, Idaho. Ruth died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in Omaha, Nebraska. Ruth grew up in the Plattsmouth and Omaha, Nebraska area, where she attended Benson High School in Omaha, and later graduated from Boise High School after moving to Boise, Idaho. On June 14, 1953, Ruth was married to Richard Dale "Dick" Glandt at Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, Nebraska. The couple was blessed with two sons, Rick and Ron. The family first lived in Elkhorn, before moving to Norfolk, Nebraska, where Dick worked as an order buyer for Swift & Company, and then as a co-owner of the Norfolk Livestock Market. Ruth was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Norfolk, and in later years, Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, the same church where she was married. She was an excellent gardener, and will be remembered by her sons for her special chocolate chip cookies she baked for them. Ruth loved sports, and thoroughly enjoyed golfing. She valued her family and will be cherished by friends and family for her integrity and caring, outgoing personality. Ruth is survived by: sons, Ron Glandt of Omaha, Nebraska (daughter Easton Glandt of Omaha, Nebraska), and Rick and Julie Glandt of Madison, North Carolina (children, Ryan of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Clayton and Jackson of Madison, North Carolina); great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Elijah, and Alayna of Lincoln, Nebraska; sisters, JoAnn McAfee of Idaho, and Jeanie Smith of Idaho; and a brother, Raymond Beverage of Idaho. Ruth was preceded in death by: parents, Fredric Clay "Fred" and Edith Louise (Jones) Beverage; husband, Richard Dale "Dick" Glandt in 2001; and five siblings.
