Description	:	WATERVILLE -- Ruth Branscombe Goodwin, 1935-2006, of Waterville and Oakfield, a much-loved wife, mother and friend passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2006, from natural causes. Ruth was born on May 20, 1935, in Smyrna, the daughter of Roy and Cora [Kelly] Branscombe. She was a 1953 graduate of Oakfield High School and went on to graduate from Eastern Maine Medical Center's radiology technician program in Bangor. Read More	WATERVILLE -- Ruth Branscombe Goodwin, 1935-2006, of Waterville and Oakfield, a much-loved wife, mother and friend passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2006, from natural causes. Ruth was born on May 20, 1935, in Smyrna, the daughter of Roy and Cora [Kelly] Branscombe. She was a 1953 graduate of Oakfield High School and went on to graduate from Eastern Maine Medical Center's radiology technician program in Bangor. Ruth and her husband, Harold Goodwin, joyfully celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 8 of this year at their special place -- camp on Spaulding Lake. During her lifetime, Ruth took great joy in caring for her family and helping others in need. She was extremely crafty and spent many hours making her home welcoming and was known for her superb skills as a seamstress. Ruth was a grand lady. Her warm, caring personality, sense of humor and ability to laugh during the toughest of times endeared her to all whose lives she touched. She enjoyed traveling, spending many summers at their camp on Spaulding Lake and many trips within and outside of the United States. Ruth was predeceased by her parents and brother, Merlin. She is survived by her husband Hank; children, Jody of Waterville, Adam, Mark and his wife, Brenda, and granddaughter, Alexandria, all of Norridgewock; sisters, Velma Albert and Betty Shields of Pittston and Phyllis Greenlaw of Oakfield; brothers Philip and his wife, Gerry, of Oakfield, and Jack and wife, Jane, of Bangor; brother-in-law Clifton and wife Alison Goodwin of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; and many loved nieces and nephews. She leaves behind two special dogs, Jesse and Sam. Memorial contributions may be made to MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & Nursing Care, Activities Fund, 40 Glenridge Drive, Augusta, ME 04330. Arrangements are under the care of Plummer Funeral Home. (Central Maine 6/28/2006)
