Description	:	Ruth C. Shelman, daughter of Levi R. and Elizabeth Lightfoot Cummings, was born March 25, 1916 near Bonaparte and died Wednesday morning, April 10, 1991 in Burlington at the age of 75. She married Donald T. Shelman August 3, 1958 in Bonaparte. He died November 15, 1987. Ruth graduated from Bonaparte High School, worked at Olson Rug Co. in Chicago and was a postal clerk and postmaster in the Hillsboro Post Office. She was a member of Chapter AB, PEO and Chapter By, TTT, both in Bonaparte. Surviving are a sister, Alma Derr of Chicago, Illinois, nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law. A sister, Frances Tade preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 13, 1991 in the Hillsboro Baptist Church with Rev. Hugh Alley officiating. Following cremation, interment will be in Vale cemetery north of Bonaparte.
