Description	:	Miller - Ruth Binger, 91, of Miller, S.D., and formerly of the Tulare-Redfield area, died Monday, March 6, 2006, at Prairie Good Samaritan Center in Miller, S.D. Her funeral will be Saturday, March 11, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the Tulare United Church. Reverend Cori Waisanen will officiate. Cremains burial will be in the Tulare Cemetery at a later date. Ruth was born May 3, 1914, at Wessington, S.D., to Albert and Mattie (Barnes) Curtis. She attended school in Wessington and married Frank Binger Sept. 24, 1940, in Buffalo, Minn. They farmed in the Tulare area until 1968, when the moved to Redfield. Frank died in 1974. Ruth worked at South Dakota Developmental Center-Redfield for several years and was also a foster grandparent. She moved to Pierre for a few years before entering the Prairie Good Samaritan Center in Miller. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and watching television. Ruth is survived by her son, Larry (Carole) Binger of Pierre, S.D.; six grandchildren, Steve (Jeanne) Johnson, Greg (Kim) Johnson, Dawn (Bryan) Schreifels, Chad (Tammy) Binger, Angela (Bob) Goebel, Tracy Binger; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Clara McNeil of Coos Bay, Ore.; and a brother, Marvin Curtis of Rapid City, S.D. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; two daughters, Delores in infancy and Virginia Johnson; great-grandson, Jace Goebel; four sisters, Dorothy Eshler, Mildred Kenyon, Helen Voorhees and Gladys Newman; and three brothers, Ralph in infancy, Roy and Floyd.
