The couple lived and raised their family in Pilger. She had done domestic work for different families in Pilger. Her husband died Dec. 13, 1975. She had been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pilger and belonged to its Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wisner and Pilger American Legion Auxiliary Post 69. Survivors include: her children, James Duncan, Dale Duncan, Roger (and wife, Karen) Duncan, Mary Frerichs, Dell Rae Duncan and Nancy (and husband, Marvin) Beutler, all of Pilger, Bob (and wife, Carol) Duncan of Wisner, Rose Mary Duncan of Newcastle, Vern Duncan of Battle Creek; a brother, Don Meeske of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Mary Arthurton of Green Valley, Ariz., and Orva Mae Suddeth of Omaha; a brother-in-law, Ronald Duncan of Spring Valley, Calif.; 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a granddaughter in infancy, two brothers and six sisters. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wisner. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today at Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home in Pilger and will continue from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Pilger Cemetery.
