Ruth then attended Kearney Normal School, where she earned her teaching certificate. She married Clyde King October 12, 1941 in Lexington, Nebraska. Ruth then attended Kearney Normal School, where she earned her teaching certificate. She married Clyde King October 12, 1941 in Lexington, Nebraska. Reading her bible, praying for her children and grandchildren, were two of her top priorities. Survivor are: daughters, Colleen Combs and her husband Wes of Pueblo, Colorado and Karen Schachterle and her husband Gene of Elm Creek, Nebraska; sons, Dean King and his wife Cheryl of Elm Creek, Nebraska and Keith King and his wife Sandi of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sisters, Helen Else of Phoenix, Arizona and Leila Corkle and her husband Bob of Hill City, South Dakota; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by: husband, Clyde King and one grandson. Burial was in Elm Creek Cemetery, Elm Creek, Nebraska.
