She was born the daughter or Ernest Uriah and Minnie Smola Ralston on Dec. 30, 1905 near Center Point. On Sept. 19, 1923 at Marion she was married to John O. Tucker. Tucker of Cedar Rapids; a daughter Kay Van Hoose of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren {private}; 2 great grandchildren; four sisters, Eleanor Carpenter of Waubeek, Mary Johnson of Cedar Rapids, and Helen Ozburn and Orpha Thomas, both of Springville; and two brothers, Ralph Ralston of Anamosa and C.W. Ralston of Okeechobee, Fla. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16 at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Jay A. Miller. Interment was in Oak Shade Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
