On January 1, 1952 she married Wilford Eugene Seaba in Keswick, Iowa. The couple lived in San Diego, California until 1955 when they returned to Sigourney where they lived and farmed East of Sigourney all of their lives. Ruth was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church and the Friendly 16 Club. She loved her cats and all her animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Bill Seaba, and sister Irene Vogel She is survived by her husband Wilford of Sigourney, sons Randy (Cindy) Seaba of Waukee, Brent (Stacy) Seaba of Olathe, Kansas, 7 grandchildren Jessica Worrell, Ashley Beck, Marshall Seaba, Jeremy Seaba, Amber Kisner, Cierra Seaba, Trenton Seaba, and 13 great-grandchildren.
