Description	:	Ruth Elba Boyce of Helena passed away Oct. 20, surrounded by her family at her home. Ruth was born Sept. 15, 1922, to George Henry and Anna Katherine Bittle Blehm in Bazine, Kan. At the age of 6, Ruth and her family moved to Denver, where she attended schools and graduated from high school. Ruth loved cosmetology and she owned two beauty salons in Denver. Read More	Ruth Elba Boyce of Helena passed away Oct. 20, surrounded by her family at her home. Ruth was born Sept. 15, 1922, to George Henry and Anna Katherine Bittle Blehm in Bazine, Kan. At the age of 6, Ruth and her family moved to Denver, where she attended schools and graduated from high school. Ruth loved cosmetology and she owned two beauty salons in Denver. She later worked for the State of Montana for 14 years in the Office of Public Instruction. Ruth loved dancing and she happened to meet another who loved to dance as much as she did, Donald W. Boyce. Donald and Ruth first met while dancing and fell in love. They were married for 40 years, enjoying camping, fishing and rock hunting. The beauty of Montana was a haven for the two and their family, as they enjoyed the outdoors. Ruth loved her family and the cosmetology field and especially her beloved husband, Donald. Ruth is survived by her husband, Donald Boyce of Helena; a son, Norman A. Stone, and a daughter, Peggy Jean Stone, both of Helena; and a sister, Margie Saccomono of Denver. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty LaGuardia; and her brothers. A committal service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison. Memorials in Ruth's name are suggested to the Hospice of St. Peter's, 2475 Broadway, Helena, MT 59601. Arrangements are under the care of Retz Funeral Home in Helena.
