Description	:	Ruth Elizabeth (Drummond) Paulsen, of Lincoln, was called to heaven on December 27, 2015. She was born April 24, 1919, to Elmer and Irene (Babbitt) Drummond on a farm near Lyons. She attended Divide Center and Bertha schools and was a 1937 graduate of Lyons High School. Read More	Ruth Elizabeth (Drummond) Paulsen, of Lincoln, was called to heaven on December 27, 2015. She was born April 24, 1919, to Elmer and Irene (Babbitt) Drummond on a farm near Lyons. She attended Divide Center and Bertha schools and was a 1937 graduate of Lyons High School. In 1938, Ruth married William "Bill" Paulsen and lived on the family farm southeast of Lyons where they farmed and raised their four children. They were active in the Lyons Presbyterian Church and attended square dances at the Bertha Hall and Vets Hall. In 1965, they moved to Lincoln. Ruth was employed in food service at Lincoln General Hospital and the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Women's Club and Circle V. Ruth is survived by her children: sons Walter (Audrey) Paulsen of Gig Harbor, Wash.; Randall (Joan) Paulsen of Omaha; E. "Joe" (Carla) Paulsen of Lincoln; and daughter Twyla (Tom) Hansen of Lincoln. Seven grandchildren: Anna Olivieri, Kim Paulsen, Mark Paulsen, Scott Paulsen, Kerri Paulsen, Nathan Paulsen, and Steve Hansen; six great-grandchildren. Sister, Janice Daberkow; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and five siblings. Ruth was a sweet and gentle soul who will be greatly missed. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 4, at First Presbyterian Church, 840 south 17th St., Lincoln. Burial will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, January 4, at the Lyons Cemetery in Lyons. Visitation with the family present will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, at Butherus Maser and Love Funeral Home, 4040 A St in Lincoln. There will be no public viewing.
