Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Gentry Cox, 51, wife of Dr. Carl E. Cox, Galax, who died Wednesday night, February 19, in Lewis-Gale Hospital, Roanoke, were held Saturday morning, at ten o'clock, in the First Methodist Church, by the pastor, Rev. W. Kyle Cregger. The choir sang "Nearer, My God, to Thee," after which the Rev. Mr. Cregger read scripture selections and offered a prayer. Mrs. Paul H. Read More	Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Gentry Cox, 51, wife of Dr. Carl E. Cox, Galax, who died Wednesday night, February 19, in Lewis-Gale Hospital, Roanoke, were held Saturday morning, at ten o'clock, in the First Methodist Church, by the pastor, Rev. W. Kyle Cregger. Pallbearers were Benford Hurd, Clarence Alderman, Dean Gordon, Kyle McMillan, walter G. Andrews and B. A. Hartsock. The many beautiful flowers were carried by a large number of neighbors and other friends of the family. Interment was in Felts cemetery. Published in the Galax Gazette; Mon., Feb. 24, 1947.
