On August 24, 1948 she was married to Gene Goodrich at Norfolk, NE. She is survived by her sons: Stephen E. (Kathy) Goodrich of Lincoln, John H. (Kay) Goodrich of Milford, NE, David L. (Sandy) Goodrich of Lexington, NE, and Mark D. Goodrich of Omaha, NE; grandchildren: David (Denise) Goodrich of Angier, NC, Scott(Missey) Goodrich of Kansas City, MO, and Sarah Goodrich of Lincoln, John Goodrich (Susan) Jr. of Holmen, WI, Craig Goodrich of Lincoln and Paul Goodrich of Milford; Meghan (Pat) Marnel of Amarillo, TX, Ben Goodrich of Atlanta GA, and Zachary Goodrich of Sidney, NE; and great grandchildren: Bailey, Brendon, Annalise, Rowan, Harrison, Cora, Vivienne, and Everett. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene and her brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian burial will take place 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2018 at St Joseph Catholic Church in York with the Reverend Monsignor James Reinert officiating. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 17th at the Metz Chapel in York with her family greeting family and friends afterwards. Ruth was cremated so there will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be directed to: St Gregory The Great Seminary in Seward, NE, The Newman Center in Lincoln, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln General Fund, St Joseph Church or School or to the donor’s choice. Condolences may be emailed to Metz Mortuary Messages will be given to the family.
