Mrs. Durham is preceded in death by her two husbands, E.E. Petty Jr. and Roland Durham; sons, Gilbert and Vernon Petty; sister, Lois Rigsbee; brothers, Robert, Hubert, Lewis, Claiborne, Travis, Percy and Ira Rigsbee; and a grandchild, Johanna Petty. Mrs. Durham is survived by two sons, Roy Petty and Lowell Petty and wife, Vicky, all of Hillsborough; two sisters, Myrtle Gosney, of Durham and Addie Mae Bogart, of Catawissa, Pa.; daughters-in-law, Claire "Wynnie" Petty and Dot Petty; seven grandchildren, Molly Compton and husband, Robert, Tyler Petty, Gwyn Holding and husband, Scott, Lowell Petty, Jr., Leslie Driscol and husband, Bill, Douglas Petty and wife, Yarbi, and Marsha Obremski and husband, Josh; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, at Palmer's Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Finicum officiating. Burial will follow in Palmer's Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Josh Obremski, Robert Compton, Scott Holding, Tyler Petty, Lowell Petty, Jr. and Douglas Petty. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Hillsborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Duke Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Drive, Ste 101, Durham, N.C. 27704-2175 or Palmer's Grove United Methodist Church, 1211 Palmer's Grove Church Rd., Hillsborough, N.C. 27278.
