Read More	Ruth Evelyn Reitz Kraemer, 90, of Brookings, SD, died Monday February 23, 2009 at Brookview Manor, Brookings, SD. Visitation will be from 9:00pm until the time of services Saturday, March 7, 2009 at First Lutheran Church. Ruth Evelyn Reitz Kraemer was born February 1, 1919 in Fort Wayne, IN. From her earliest years, her Christian faith was nourished by having a father and a grandfather who were both Lutheran pastors. When her father went blind, Ruth read the Bible and church publications to him; their family life revolved around ministry. In her early 20s, she accepted an offer to work for the War Department's Manhattan Project. After the war she attended Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, MN where she met Maynard Kraemer; they married on December 21, 1946. His career with the Army Corps of Engineers led to their moving to over 20 different job sites from North Dakota to Arizona during the next 20 years. In 1966 they moved to Bloomington, MN where they lived for the next 33 years. An employee valued for her competency and the friendships she made, Ruth retired from Thermo King in 1982. Ruth and Maynard are remembered for faithful support of their church, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They kept active with gardening, babysitting and work projects as well as family vacations, celebrations and graduations. In 1999 they moved to Brookings, SD to be closer to daughter Mary. Ruth passed on February 23, 2009, shortly after her 90th birthday, at Brookview Manor in Brookings, SD. Grateful for having shared her life are her daughters Margaret (Dale) Greene of North Augusta, SC and Mary (Lonell) Moeller of Brookings, SD; six grandchildren Steve (Ardis) Moeller of Brandon, SD; Michael (Marie) Moeller of Orange City, IA; Julie (Jeff) Holgate and Sheri (Dan) Kahnke all of Watertown, SD; John Greene and James (Jennifer) Greene of Estelline, SD; 10 great grandchildren, Nicholas, Courtney, Carmen Moeller, Charles and Lily Moeller, Riley Lathrop, Jacob Holgate, James Kahnke, Samantha and Danelyn Greene. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brothers, and husband.
