Description	:	Ruth Helen Krug, 85, of Laurel, passed away June l0, 2014, at RiverStone Hospice Home in Billings. She was born Oct. 18, 1928, daughter to Jacob and Marie Michael. She received her schooling at Edgar High School, graduating in 1946. On Sept. 24, 1950, she married Ray Guenthner. They farmed in the Park City, Laurel and Silesia area. He died in 1976. She married Hank Krug on March 24, 1979. They lived and farmed south of Laurel. He died in 2011. She received her schooling at Edgar High School, graduating in 1946. On Sept. 24, 1950, she married Ray Guenthner. They farmed in the Park City, Laurel and Silesia area. He died in 1976. She married Hank Krug on March 24, 1979. They lived and farmed south of Laurel. He died in 2011. She raised five children, Priscilla (Ken) Halcro; Karen (Jay) Bell, their children, Jonathan, Brandon (Meg) and Megan; Scott (Patti) Guenthner, their children, Mitch (Missy), Casey and Jaclyn; Bob (Terri) Guenthner, their children, Jake (Murriah), Ryan (Katie), Dustin (Crystn) and Christine; Matt (Bobbi) Guenthner, their children, Samantha (Andi), Drew (Shelby) and Max. She is also survived by three stepchildren, Vickie (Craig) Coover; Stephanie (Terry) Bummer, their children, Brandy, Tera and Whitney; and Roger (Jen) Krug and his children, Adam (Britni) and Anna. She also has 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Taylor, Betty Steinmetz; and two brothers, Bill Michael and Walt Michael. She was preceded in death by two great-granddaughters. Ruth loved to cook for her family, and they in turn loved to eat everything she cooked for them. Her favorite dishes were making noodles from scratch, football soup, kraut bierock and kuchen. She enjoyed making caramel rolls on a wintery Saturday, making sure they were out of the oven at 10 a.m. She loved the farm lifestyle, enjoyed quilting and ceramics and displaying her artistic talent. She enjoyed gardening, eating tomatoes off the vine, and watching birds from her porch. She was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church and enjoyed being part of LWML. She always looked forward to meeting her family at Hardee's on Sunday mornings. Visitation for Ruth will be Sunday evening, June 15, at Smith Chapel in Laurel from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 16, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Laurel, with interment in Rockvale Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church. Mom and Grandma, We will miss you. We were lucky to have you in our lives!
