Highland Recorder October 8, 1959 Mrs. Ruth Siron Grogg, 59, of Strait Creek, died Sunday, Oct. 4, at Kings Daughters Hospital in Staunton. She was a daughter of the late W.D. and Hattie Hull Faroute and was born and reared in Highland County. Mrs. Grogg is survived by her husband, Luther Byran Grogg; six daughter, Mrs. Henry Toman, Hampton; Mrs. Pauline Sullenberger, Monterey; Mrs. Richard Barbour, Raleigh. N.C.; Mrs. Dice Swadley, Vanderpool; Mrs. Carl Turner, Waynesboro; Mrs. Olen Waybright, Monterey; five sons, Leo Siron, Falls Church; Ray Siron, Monterey; Clyde Siron, Fairfax; Wallace Siron, Oak Lawn, ILL.; Garrett Siron, Ft. Campbell, Ky.; two sisters. Mrs. May Karicofe, Staunton; and Mrs. Mary Walker of Michigan. She also leaves a number of grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. from Union Chapel Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery with Obaugh Funeral Home in charge. Her father Walter D. Faroute died December 13, 1942 in Healing Springs, Bath County. Highland Recorder February 12, 1916 Lloyd C.
