Mrs. Peterson, 75, retired from the librarian's duties in 1960 following seven years in that post. She served the local library 34 years. Mrs. Peterson, 75, retired from the librarian's duties in 1960 following seven years in that post. She served the local library 34 years. Joining the library staff in 1926, Mrs. Peterson became associated with the rural bookmobile service and later directed that facility and the library's county book collection. She became head librarian in 1953. A Rochester resident since 1916, she also worked briefly as society editor of The Sentinel before joining the library's staff. Born Aug. 19, 1895, in Mishawaka, she was the daughter of Dr. Edward H. and Lola RAVENCROFT SUTHERLAND and came to this city from Mishawaka. Her marriage was Dec. 7, 1960, at Indianapolis to Bernard A. PETERSON Sr., who died April 27, 1966. Mrs. Peterson was a member of the United Presbyterian church, Order of Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, Fulton County Historical Society and Associate chapter of Tri Kappa sorority. Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Frank HODGES of Tonawanda, N.Y., th former Judy SUTHERLAND of this city; and two cousins, Edward RAVENCROFT, Rochester, and John RAVENCROFT, Skokie, Ill. Last rites will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. Allen JUMP officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
