She was born on November 19, 1929, at Mountain Lake Park, MD. Ruth was the daughter of the late Samuel W. Wood and Cora (Calhoun) Wood. Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Clyde E. King, Sr.; daughter, Barbara Ann King; sister, Helen Edgar; and brother, Paul W. Wood. Ruth is survived by her three sons, Clyde E. King, Jr. and wife Deborah of Fayetteville, NC, Donald W. King and wife Brenda of Henderson, NV, and David W. King and wife Tammy of Savannah, GA; one sister, Dorothy Foley of Alexander, VA; sister-in-law, Dolores Wood of Springfield, VA; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was a homemaker, a member of the Cresaptown Methodist church, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family and friends dearly. Family and friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy Cresaptown, MD, on Friday October 18, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev.
