Description	:	Ruth Josephine Deur Vos, 56, daughter of George and Henrietta Tuls Deur, was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 24, 1914 and passed away Thursday, September 17, 1970 at the University Hospital in Iowa City where she had been cared for during her last illness. Her father, a teacher, taught in Highland, Indiana: Fremont, Michigan and Peoria, Iowa and it was during these years that Ruth attended schools in these areas, graduating in 1933 from the Pella Public High School. Her father, a teacher, taught in Highland, Indiana: Fremont, Michigan and Peoria, Iowa and it was during these years that Ruth attended schools in these areas, graduating in 1933 from the Pella Public High School. On August 15, 1940 Ruth was united in marriage with Otto Vos in Peoria and since that time has resided in or near the vicinity of Peoria. To this union four children were born: Stanley, now living in Sully, Iowa; Judith Ann, now Mrs John Burn of Beloit, WIsconsin; Melvin of Sully and Mary Lynn, now Mrs Ed Rozenboom of Pella. She leaves beside her children, 8 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Esther, Mrs Jake Posthumus of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Arthur Deur of Fremont, Michigan; Melvin and Junior Deur of Pella and Allen Deur of Holton, Michigan. Preceding in deathe were her parents and a sister, Alyda, who died at the age of 20 years. Profession of her faith was made in Fremont, Michigan Christian Reformed Church and at the time of her death Mrs Vos was a faithful member of the Peoria Christian Reformed Church. The love and concern she had for her family shall be a precious memory.
