Services are Monday at 2 p.m. at the Solt Funeral Home in Central City. The Rev. Bob Neben will officiate. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery. Mrs. Tyler was born Feb. 8, 1910, at Chapman to Thomas and Belle Bruno Fauquier. She received her education at District 28 school and graduated from Central City High School in 1927. She married Vaughn Tyler on April 22, 1934. They farmed in Chapman and Central City area. The moved to town in 1953. She worked in the Merrick County Assessor's office for 25 years, 15 of which she was the county assessor. She retired in 1978. She was elected to the Merrick County Board Supervisors and served eight years in that position. Mr. Tyler died Nov. 17, 1964. She belonged to the United Methodist Church of Central City and the Women's Society of the Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 200. She was a charter member of Dist. 8 Homemakers Extension Club and she belonged to the Jolly Janes of Chapman and the Daughters of the American Revolution in Grand Island. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Janet) Andersen of Marquette and Mrs. David (Becky) Hajny of Clay Center; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Mason of Chapman and Mrs. Margaret Pember of Milford, Conn.; one brother, Lawrence Fauquier of Omaha; six grandsons and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband; five brothers and two sisters.
