She was born April 30, 1909, in the farm home east of Upland to Richard Andrew and Caressa Rose Hendricks Morris, the youngest of five children. Ibsen, 94, of North Platte died Feb. 20, 2004, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte. She was born April 30, 1909, in the farm home east of Upland to Richard Andrew and Caressa Rose Hendricks Morris, the youngest of five children. She attended Harmony Country School through the eighth grade, and then Upland High School. On Nov. 4, 1925, she married Nels Arthur Ibsen in Upland. They lived in town for a few years and then moved to the farm east of Upland and lived there until 1942, when they, along with their only child, Nadine, moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., to attend a Bible college. They attended Colorado Springs Bible Training School and also Frankfort Pilgrim College in Frankfort, Ind., graduating in 1946. They were both Ordained Ministers in the Wesleyan Church. They had pastored churches in Oklahoma, Oregon and Nebraska. They moved to North Platte in 1951. Mrs. Ibsen had been active in church work until her later years when her health failed. She was very devoted to her family and gave many hours of hard work, love and prayers in their behalf. Their well-being and happiness meant much to her. They enjoyed traveling and had some wonderful trips together. She also enjoyed flowers and the outdoors and had a special talent for flower arranging and making her home attractive, whether it was an entire house or just one room. She will be greatly missed by her family, as they loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Nels Ibsen Sept. 2, 1985; her parents; a sister, Rady Bauer, and three brothers, George, Richard and Arthur Morris. Memorials are suggested to The Wesleyan Hour and North Platte First Church of the Nazarene. Services were Feb. 23, 2004, at Odean Colonial Chapel. Burial was in the North Platte Cemetery.
