Description	:	Ruth Peterson, age 93 of Bottineau, died Sunday at a Bottineau hospital. Funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at the Lake Metigoshe Christian Center. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm all at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Burial will be at the Salem Cemetery near Bottineau. Ruth Peterson, a daughter of Oscar and Lydia (Larson) Larshus, was born on August 20, 1918 at Bottineau. She was reared in the Turtle Mountains where she attended country school. Ruth Peterson, a daughter of Oscar and Lydia (Larson) Larshus, was born on August 20, 1918 at Bottineau. She was reared in the Turtle Mountains where she attended country school. She later graduated from Bottineau High School. In 1938, she married Norman Johnson at Bottineau. This marriage later ended. She taught at several country schools in Bottineau County. On December 21, 1957, she married Pete Peterson at Minot. They made their on the Peterson family farm near Bottineau. Ruth continued teaching. She taught in Newburg, Williston and the Dunseith Day School before retiring in the mid 1970's. They moved into Bottineau in 1998. Pete passed away on March 10, 2008. Ruth was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church and later Metigoshe Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Marjo Shipp and her husband, Ray of Tiskilwa, IL and Norma Manning and her husband, Laverne of Upham, ND; son, Ralph Johnson and his wife, Mary of Minot; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchild; sister, Melva Holscher of York, NE and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Lorraine Holscher; brothers-in-law, Bernard and Daryl Holscher and a son-in-law, Earl Norberg
