Pyle, Nevada RR 1, 36, whose death occurred in the Story County Hospital, August 6, were held from the Nevada Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. David Ash officiating. Mrs. Harry Sutherland sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "My Faith Look Up to Thee" accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Norman Dobson. The many beautiful flowers which banked the front of the church were arranged by Mrs. Ray Lawhorn, Mrs. Earl Tudor and Mrs. Ross Weuve. There were also many memorials given in her memory, all testifying to the love and esteem in which the deceased was held. The large number of friends and relatives in attendance at the service was also a tribute to this young wife and mother who was greatly beloved by all who knew her. The casket bearers, Phillip Armstrong, Harry Cook, Earl Tudor, Ross Weuve, Dr. C. R. Parrish and Galyn Wilson. Burial was in the Nevada cemetery. Obituary Ruth Lavonne Pyle was born December 19, 1918 at Grundy Center, Iowa the daughter of Joseph William and Bessie Edna Albright who are now of State Center, Iowa. She graduated from high school in Grundy Center and went on to Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, Iowa for four years to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in 1939. She was married to Lloyd R. Pyle June 5, 1940 at Grundy Center. Their married years before coming to Nevada were spent in California and on a tour of duty with the United State Air Corps. For the last eight years Bonnie and Lloyd have made their home Northeast of Nevada and have become an integral part of the Nevada community. Having been a member of the church since her youth and she and her husband brought their church membership to the Nevada Methodist Church where they have been active and faithful members in the church, church school, woman's society and Official Board. Bonnie was a member of the Nevada Woman's Club and the Richland Township Garden Club. Held in the highest regard as more that a neighbor she was the devoted mother of four children, Janet Eileen, Janis Ellen, Jerry Joloyd and Jill Beth. In failing health for the last year and a half Bonnie had continued to be an inspiration to all who knew her. Her high fever, patient courage, and unselfish devotion to her family and friend marked her life as one attuned to God into whose closer presence she moved in the attitude of Paul "The time of my departure has come I have fought the fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" II Timothy 4:6b-7. A memorial in her memory is being established at the Nevada Methodist Church. The family is deeply appreciative and extends its heartfelt thanks to neighbors and friends for their prayers, gifts and friendship during her entire illness. Here for Service Relatives and friends from a distance in attendance at the funeral were from Grundy Center, New Providence, Whittier, Eldora, Dallas Center, Des Moines, Stout, Holland, Minburn, Woodward, State Center, Parkersburg, Beaver, Grand Junction, St. Anthony, Cedar Rapids, St. Ansgar, Marshalltown, Mason City, Geneva, Greene, Marble Rock, Hampton, Hubbard, and Grinnell in Iowa and from Rochester, Minn., Topeka, Kansas, McPherson, Kansas, Dallas, Texas, Springfield, Ill. and Georgia.
