Description	:	Memorial services were held Thursday morning, May 30, 1991 at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton for Ruth L. Williams, 93, with Rev. Koni Purscell officiating. As she had donated her body to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, there was no interment at this time. Ruth Loraine King, daughter of Charles H. and May L. Ruth Loraine King, daughter of Charles H. and May L. King, was born in Findlay, Ohio, August 9, 1897. At the turn of the century, she moved with her family to Little Sioux, Iowa, then to Creighton a few years later. She was the valedictorian of the Creighton High School Class of 1916 and taught a rural school in the Creighton vicinity until her marriage on October 13, 1917 to Robert E. Williams, also of Creighton. they lived in Creighton until 1952, when they moved to Norfolk, where Mrs. Williams resided until 1990. Ruth was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church of Creighton, having received her 50 year pin and later being honored as a member of 70 years or more in 1977. She was active in First United Methodist Church of Norfolk, a member of Nancy Gary Chapter DAR, WWI Barracks Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and National Republican Women. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Mervin Alton of Las Vagas, NV, daughter, Roberta (Mrs. J. Mullen), Omaha, NE; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Jack, parents, brothers, Merle, Stanley and Bruce and sister, Frances Smith.
