In 1951 she married the love of her life, Reese Johnson. Lorraine was a stay at home Mom until her youngest child started school. She then went to work for the DMV in Dover for 30+ years before retiring. She will always be remembered for her love of the color blue, NASCAR (especially "The Dale's) and QVC. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Reese, her Father and Mother Earl and Ruth Ivory, son Jim and Grandson Bobby Lee Smith. She is survived by her son, Randy from Middletown, and a daughter Terri Smith (Gene) from Chestertown, MD, two grandsons Robby Johnson (Karen) of Clayton, DE, and Brian Johnson (Kim) of Clayton, her granddaughter, Stacey Lynn Smith and her friend Jim, four great grandchildren, Megan Johnson, Josh Johnson, Brandon Crane (Shawna) and Brooke Park (Jimmy), six great-great grandchildren and her miniature poodle, Brandy. With A LOT of help, conversations, laughter, and rides, from Kathy Smith, Kenny Holland and Ted Megason, she was able to stay home longer. And for that, the family is very grateful. The family would also like to thank the staff at Broadmeadow for the kindness and care given for Lorraine during her time there. Services will be held privately.
