At an early age, she moved with her family to Sioux Falls, SD, where she grew up and received her education. Ruth was united in marriage with Roy Hennings on November 29, 1938 in Madison, SD. The couple made their home and raised their family in Sioux Falls. Ruth volunteered at Sioux Vocational Services for 30 years. She was also a volunteer with the Good Samaritan Auxiliary. Ruth cherished her family and tried to help them become good homemakers and cooks. She loved collecting dolls and angels. Ruth liked going to the Goodwill store to buy clothes to wear to dances. She enjoyed planting tomatoes and watching them grow, as well as watching birds out her window. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, on July 21, 2000; her parents; three brothers, Milo Tripp, Clayton Tripp and Arnold Tripp; and two sisters, Mae Eves and Marjo
