Clark, 84, of 297 West Clark Street, passed away at 3:41 a.m. Thursday, January 1st, at the Salem Community Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past week. Mrs. Clark was born March 20, 1924 in East Palestine, a daughter of the late Thomas E. and Marcella Blower Butler, and was a life resident of the community. She had been employed with area potteries, and later with the Kenmar Division of Ethan Allen, from where she retired in 1986. Clark, 84, of 297 West Clark Street, passed away at 3:41 a.m. Thursday, January 1st, at the Salem Community Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past week. Mrs. Clark was born March 20, 1924 in East Palestine, a daughter of the late Thomas E. and Marcella Blower Butler, and was a life resident of the community. She had been employed with area potteries, and later with the Kenmar Division of Ethan Allen, from where she retired in 1986. Her husband, Dale Clark, whom she married October 10, 1940, preceded her in death December 8, 1992. A son, Larry T. Clark, had preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by two daughters, Jane Winters, with whom she resided, Margaret Kay Meadows, Myrtle Beach, SC; a son, Dale G. Clark, Salem; and a sister, Jean Sorrell, East Palestine. She also leaves fourteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark McTrustry, of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the time of service.
