Thompson. She leaves behind to carry on her memory her daughter, Beverly Sommers (Dennis); her grandchildren, Michael Owens (Donna), Steve Owens, and Jodie Thorne; great grandchildren, Chris, Maddie, and Josh; her nieces, Sandy Durden (Gearry) and Iris Beck (Mike), and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Aunt Ruth will be remembered as a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She was also creative and a skilled artist of many talents. She was a seamstress, painter, crafter, and quilter. But most importantly, a sister in Christ. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Ruth's going home on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 3200 SW 122nd Street, Gainesville, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made in Ruth's name to Faith Baptist Church.
