Description	:	Ruth "Dolly" M. Fields-Todd passed away in her home early August 15, 2011 from Lou Gehrig's disease. Ruth was born to John E. and Clora Kramer Lee in Ogden, Utah March 22, 1934. She spent much of her childhood in New Mexico. She graduated from Cliff High School in 1950 and then attended New Mexico Western College in Silver Springs, N.M. She served in the U. S. Navy from 1956 to 1958 as a Navy nurse. During this time in the Navy she married Geral D. Fields. They had one daughter, Patricia D. Fields. Dedicating 47 years of her life... Navy from 1956 to 1958 as a Navy nurse. During this time in the Navy she married Geral D. Fields. They had one daughter, Patricia D. Fields. Dedicating 47 years of her life as a caring nurse, 33 of those years were here in Grand Junction. Ruth enjoyed flowers, gardening, and camping. She also loved animals. Ruth is survived by her husband James W. Todd, MD, of Grand Junction, Colorado; sisters, Cecelia Rayburn, of Medford, Oregon; Dorothy "Tex" (Paul) Stockemer, of Cedaredge, Colorado; Mary Mahana, of Grand Junction; brothers, John (Meg) E. Lee, of Grand Junction, Colorado; George "Pat" (Doris) Lee, of Columbia Falls, Montana, and son-in-law, John Mewbourn, of Marysville, Washington. She has 16 loving grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Catherine; brother, Bobby, and her loving daughter, Patricia Mewbourn and husband, Geral Fields. Memorial services will start at 2:55 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, CO. A celebration of her life and reception will follow and the location will be announced at the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Inc.
