Ruth Margaret (Keeler) Schroeder, the daughter of Thomas and Nettie (Pride) Keeler, was born June 4, 1924, in Estherville. She received her education in the Estherville schools. She was united in marriage to Warren Schroeder. The couple raised their family and made their home in Estherville. Ruth was employed at Wadco Foods in Estherville. In her leisure time she enjoyed spending time with her family and doing craft work. Warren died in 1980. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church in Estherville. Left to cherish Ruth's memory are her children, Judy Haase of Lone Rock, Lorraine Keeler and her husband, Eldon, of Estherville, Carol Beaver of Sioux Falls, S.D., Shirley Hiles and her husband, John, of Ogden, James Schroeder of Estherville and Linda Eden of Nashville, Tenn.; 27 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and siblings, Bohumir Keeler, Eldon Keeler, Pauline Mann, Ethel Whitacre all of Estherville, Gertie Weibel of California and Mary Ross of Texas. Preceding Ruth in death were her husband; one daughter, Joyce Baldwin; one son, Henry "Sonny" Schroeder; one grandson, Chad Schroeder; her parents; an infant sister and siblings, Carl, Viola and Frank.
