Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at St. Mary Church in Willey. The celebrant will be Father Craig Collison. Lector will be LaVern Greving. Gift bearers will be Ronda Olesen and Bev Bruning. Mass servers will be Nathan Greving, Kevin Greving and Justin Bauer. Eucharistic ministers will be Lorena Grossman, LaVern Greving and Marty Greving. Casket bearers will be John Hackfort, Ernie Tiefenthaler, Glen Tiefenthaler, Clyde Weitl, Dan Hahn and Vernon Seidl. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas will form an honor guard at the church for the funeral Mass. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Willey. Friends may call the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Wednesday by the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. There will be a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m. Wednesday followed by another rosary at 8 p.m. Wednesday. She was born Jan. 17, 1930, at Wall Lake, a daughter of Conrad and Mary (Pittman) Tiefenthaler. She spent her younger years in the Breda community and graduated from St. Bernard High School. On Sept. 6, 1949, she was united in marriage with Alphons Brincks at St. Bernard Church in Breda. The couple spent their married life on the family farm west of Willey. Mrs. Brincks was a homemaker and was employed for eight years by the St. Mary School hot lunch program. She was a member of St. Mary Parish, Parish Ladies Guild and a member and past regent of the Carroll Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was also a member of the Diocesan Confraternity of Christian Women and served her Parish on the finance board and school board. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and playing cards. Ruth Brincks is survived by her husband, Alphons, of Willey; six children and their spouses, Larry Brincks and his wife, Mary Kay, of Little Chute, Wis., Richard Brincks and his special friend, Donna Schumacher, of Seymour, Wis., Marilyn Murphy and her husband, Peter, of Pella, Mary Jo Irlbeck and her husband, Gene, of Carroll, Michael Brincks and his wife, Cathy, of Glidden, and Maurice Brincks and his wife, Denise, of Mackville, Wis.; 21 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Evelyn Ludwig of Auburn, Ethel Hoffman of Estherville, Rose Marie Hoffman of Graettinger and Almyra Weitl and her husband, Marlo, of Templeton; several sisters- and brothers-in-law, Roceal Knobbe of Bagley, Melvina Hahn of Carroll, Delores and Delbert Kasperbauer of Carroll, Henry Seidl of Carroll, Diane Brincks of Carroll, Louise Brincks-Kennebeck of Carroll and Helen Tiefanthaler of Breda. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kenneth Brincks; a grandson, Timothy Brincks; and two brothers, Ervil and Paul Tiefenthaler.
