Description	:	Coon Rapids Enterprise March 30, 1989 Funeral services were held March 25, at 2:00 P.M. at the Ohde Funeral Home of Coon Rapids for Ruth H. Mingus. Reverend Jerry Robertson of the United Methodist Church officiated. Music was provided by organist Pat Schwartz and soloist Shirley Hachmeister. Casketbearers were Robert Mingus, David Hoover, Gerald Hachmeister, Bill Hess, Allen Headlee and George Esdohr with internment in Coon Rapids Cemetery, Coon Rapids. RUTH H. MINGUS Ruth, daughter of Gottfired and Mathilda Gustafson Nimrod, was born January 14, 1907 at Chicago, Illinois. She attended Chicago schools. On March 11, 1927 Ruth was united in marriage with Freeman Mingus. Three children, Ronald, Carol, and Marilyn, were born to this union. They made their home in Chicago and then in Coon Rapids. Caring for her family was of the utmost importance to Ruth. She was a faithful and beloved mother and grandmother. Ruth was ill for a short time and died early Thursday morning, March 23, 1989 at her home in Coon Rapids at the age of 82 years, 2 months, and 9 days. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1967; by her parents; by three sisters, Helen Nimrod, Doris Peterson, and Florence Peterson; and by two brothers, Clifford Nimrod and Raymond Nimrod. Ruth is survived by her children: Ronald Mingus and his wife, Virginia, of Cape Vincent, New York; Carol Hoover, of Kankakee, Illinois; and Marilyn and her husband, Arthur Nelson, of Florida; by 11 grandchildren; by 11 great-grandchildren; by a brother, Walter Nimrod, of Chicago, Illinois; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
