Read More	Ruth Peeples McNair, 82, died Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the Hampton Regional Medical Center in Varnville, SC. Born April 29, 1926 in Estill, SC, Mrs. McNair was the daughter of the late Robert Rhodes Peeples and Margaret Folk Peeples and was the widow of John Douglas McNair. She was a graduate of Estill High School and The Women's College of the University of North Carolina in Greensboro and had retired as Deputy Clerk of Court in the Federal District Court in Columbia, SC. She was a member of the Estill Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Women of the Church as well as the Estill Reading Club, the Sandwich Bridge Club and the Friday Afternoon Bridge Club. She is survived by her brothers and sister-in-law, Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Robert E. H. Peeples of Hilton Head Island, SC and J. Randolph Peeples of Sumter, SC; two nephews, David D. Peeples of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Robert F. Peeples of Bishopville, SC and two nieces, Mrs. Grover F. Bowers III (Derbi) of Okatie, SC and Mrs. Robert E. Warner, Jr. (Mace) of Baton Rouge, LA. A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, November 6, 2008, at 11 AM in the Lawtonville Cemetery near Estill, SC, conducted by Rev. Dr. James Norris. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Estill Chapel, 330 Clarke Avenue, Estill, SC 29918 (803-943-3352).
