Description	:	Ruth Senn Huggins, 89, widow of Charles F. Huggins, of 107 Wilson Street, Union, died Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Oakmont Nursing Center after a period of declining health. Mrs. Huggins was born in Enoree, March 23, 1916, a daughter of the late Leonard Boyd Senn and Leila Stevens Senn. Mrs. Huggins was a graduate of Cross Anchor High School and a life long member of Padgett's Creek Baptist Church where she taught Primary Sunday School Class for 25 years and was a Sunbeam Leader for 15 years. Huggins, of 107 Wilson Street, Union, died Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Oakmont Nursing Center after a period of declining health. Mrs. Huggins was born in Enoree, March 23, 1916, a daughter of the late Leonard Boyd Senn and Leila Stevens Senn. Mrs. Huggins was a graduate of Cross Anchor High School and a life long member of Padgett's Creek Baptist Church where she taught Primary Sunday School Class for 25 years and was a Sunbeam Leader for 15 years. Mrs. Huggins was principal of the Vacation Bible School of the church for several years, and conducted the assembly for intermediate and junior pupils. She was assembly leader for the adults and taught study courses for the G.A.'s of the church. Mrs. Huggins was also assistant teacher of the ladies Ophelia Duke Sunday School Class and was secretary of the Sunday School Department for 25 years where she ordered and distributed books for the 13 class rooms. She also served as church reporter and recording secretary. Mrs. Huggins was a correspondent for the Union Daily Times where she wrote the Cross Keys News for 60 years. She also served on the Union County Fair Association for 36 years where she worked in the fancy work department. Surviving are a sister, Grace S. Poole of Spartanburg; a sister-in-law, Ester S. Senn of Union; special cousin, Jerry Crowe of Enoree and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Huggins was predeceased by two sisters, Gertrude S. Williamson and Sue S. Blackwell; and three brothers, Leland Emerson Senn, Leonard Boyd Senn Jr. and Nathan Ray Senn.
