Description	:	Ruth V. Eichmeier, 90 years, of Fremont, NE passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Fremont Area Medical Center. Ruth Virginia Anderson was born May 20, 1921 in the family home near Weston, NE to Herbert and Medie Anderson. She attended country schools and graduated from Malmo High School. Ruth married H. Eichmeier, 90 years, of Fremont, NE passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Fremont Area Medical Center. Ruth Virginia Anderson was born May 20, 1921 in the family home near Weston, NE to Herbert and Medie Anderson. She attended country schools and graduated from Malmo High School. Ruth married H. Roger Eichmeier on January 27, 1946 in Malmo. The couple made their home at Wahoo, NE where their two children, Kathleen and Rodney, were born. In 1953, the couple moved to a farm outside of Wahoo, where Roger began farming. A few years later they moved to a farm outside of Malmo, where they farmed until retiring in 1987. In 1988, the couple moved to Fremont. Roger died December 29, 2008. Ruth was a lifelong member of the Bethesda Covenant Church in Malmo and taught Sunday School and Bible School. She is a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Fremont. She was a Gold Star member of Arthur Adolphson Unit 232 American Legion Auxiliary at Malmo, in which she held several offices and was an active Junior Auxiliary Leader. Ruth always enjoyed reading, music and traveling. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Eichmeier of Oakland, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Rodney Eichmeier, who died January 22, 1972; and brother, Vernon Anderson. Funeral service will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church in Fremont. The Rev. Susan Sanders will officiate. Visitation will be at church on Monday 1 hr prior to service. Burial at the Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo, NE at 1:30 PM on Monday. Memorials may be given to Calvary United Methodist Church in Fremont. Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
