He passed away at his home surrounded by family and friends following a recent illness. Born on July 17, 1931, in Athalia, Ohio, he was the son of the late Rutherford C. and Maggie Locey Burcham. He passed away at his home surrounded by family and friends following a recent illness. Born on July 17, 1931, in Athalia, Ohio, he was the son of the late Rutherford C. and Maggie Locey Burcham. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William Conley Burcham; sister, Betty Miller; special mother-in-law, Laura Ellen Patrick; brothers-in-law, Oren Berry, Earl Miller, Orville Hall, Donald Patrick and Walter Bias; a nephew, Paul Berry; sisters-in-law, Margaret Browning and Marlene Bias. Junior was an Army veteran of the Korean War where he served as a Staff Sergeant in the 25th Division of the 27th Infantry. He was a retired truck driver from Smith Transfer. He was employed by Overnite Trucking Company and Nick and Mary Beth Reynolds. He was last employed as a courtesy van driver for Moses Automotive Group in Huntington. He was a Sunday school Superintendent and Deacon for many years at the B Street Pentecostal Church of Christ. He was a founding member of the Templeaires Quartet. He was a member of New Life Church in Huntington for the past nine years. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Junior is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 55 years, Billie Louise Patrick Burcham; precious sons and daughters-in-law, Rutherford C. and Brenda Burcham of Hurricane,, W.Va., Steven and Teresa Burcham of Barboursville, W.Va.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Deannie Burcham, Larry and Charlotte Burcham, all of Proctorville, Ohio, Jerry and Jean Burcham of Crown City, Ohio; sisters, Hilda Berry of Gallipolis, Ohio, Lova Hall of Bellview, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Lee Roy Ramey of Athalia, Ohio; brother-in-law Carl Browning of Huntington; sisters-in-law, Minnie Lou Kaiser of Chesapeake, Ohio and Janice Ann Patrick of Huntington; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Jack Cremeans of Huntington: special granddaughters and husbands, Kimberly and Jim Murphy, Kelly and Andrew Miller, all of Hurricane, Julie and Danny Adams of Barboursville, special granddaughter, Krystal Burcham of Barboursville; great-grandchildren Alexis Skaggs, Noah and Jacob Miller, all of Hurricane, Blake Adams, Laynee Burcham, both of Barboursville, (they were the love of his life); god-grandchildren, Hayley and Hanna Ward of Huntington; special family friends, Nick, Mary Beth, Colin and Owen Reynolds of Huntington, Patsy Riehm of Florida and Thelma Triplett of Ohio. He is further survived by loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2006, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Darrell Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, with VFW Post 1064 conducting military graveside rites.
