Description	:	Ruthie King Hunter, 74, of Atlanta, Georgia, died Wednesday, February 10,2016, at Sunrise of Buckhead. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Orangeburg, SC. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Hunter was born in Orangeburg, SC, the daughter of the late Ralph Cecil King and the late Carrie Mae Hartzog King. Mrs. Hunter was born in Orangeburg, SC, the daughter of the late Ralph Cecil King and the late Carrie Mae Hartzog King. She was a graduate of Orangeburg High School and was employed by the Regional Medical Center until her retirement in 1999. She moved to Atlanta in 2002, and was a member of the Cathedral of St. Philip where she belonged to St. Veronica's Guild. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. John T. W. Mercer (Mary) of Atlanta, Georgia; a son, Mark L. Tippett Jr. (Brenda) of Bowman, SC, and a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Susan) Pendry of Orangeburg, SC; six grandchildren Claire Whitaker Taylor, Rory Clay Miller, Paxton Whitaker, Gary Wolfe, Lisa Felder, Jessica Smith; 11 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank her many caregivers over the years including most recently the staff of Sunrise of Buckhead and especially her granddaughter, Claire Whitaker Taylor, of Atlanta, Georgia, Miriam NJoroge, of Alpharetta, Georgia, as well as Homestead Hospice.
