McGahey in 1866; and died on December 26, 1906, at the residence of her youngest daughter, Mrs. Ora Falls, of Perryville, Arkansas. Sister McGahey's husband died in January, 1888. From that time on she kept house with her children until they grew up and married, and then she lived with them. She was the mother of five children, three of whom are still living and married. She obeyed the gospel during the year 1885, and held her membership with the congregation at Aplin, Arkansas. In her death this congregation has lost one of its strongest, bravest members. She studied the New Testament and lived according to its teaching. She would not teach, practice, or indorse anything in the worship that the New Testament did not authorize. We have every reason to believe that she will have part in the first resurrection and that she will have an abundant entrance into the city of God, because we are taught: "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."
