Mrs. Crouse was the former Sadie Annie Hirtle, daughter of the late Simon and Ellen (Wentzell) Hirtle of Upper Branch and was born on January 5, 1892. She was predeceased by her husband and three grandchildren. Read More	Mrs. Alvin Crouse 1975. Bridgewater Bulletin Mrs. Alvin Crouse of North Brookfield, formerly of Upper Branch, passed away at the Dawson Memorial Hospital on September 10, 1975. Mrs. Crouse was the former Sadie Annie Hirtle, daughter of the late Simon and Ellen (Wentzell) Hirtle of Upper Branch and was born on January 5, 1892. She was predeceased by her husband and three grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Russell of Caledonia; Loren of Upper Branch; two daughters, Arlene (Mrs. Laurie Crouse) of North Brookfield with whom she resided; Barbara (Mrs. William Snyder) of Dartmouth; also a brother, Gordon of Upper Branch; and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Crouse of Jacksonville, Florida; and Mrs. Macy Mailman of North Brookfield; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The funeral service was held in the Wamback Memorial Chapel, in Bridgewater on Friday, September 12, at 3 p.m., with Rev. J.M. Slack of Lunenburg officiating. Hymns sung by Misses Stella and Hilda Harper of North Brookfield were "Pass Me Not, O Gentle Saviour" and "What A Friend we Have in Jesus." Burial was in the Upper Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ellison Conrad, Merle Wagner, Ray Wagner, and Calvin Snyder.
