Description	:	Wednesday - November 22, 1905 Mrs. Sadie Rohlf Schroeder died Monday, Nov. 13, 1905 of tubercular meningitis. She was born September 15, 1873, and grew to womanhood at her home, three miles north of Blue Grass, where she died. She was united in marriage to C.W. Schroeder in January, 1895. Unto them were born three children, who, with their bereaved father, mourn her loss -- Freda, 8 years; Ella, 4, and Hulda, 18 months. She was born September 15, 1873, and grew to womanhood at her home, three miles north of Blue Grass, where she died. She was united in marriage to C.W. Schroeder in January, 1895. Unto them were born three children, who, with their bereaved father, mourn her loss -- Freda, 8 years; Ella, 4, and Hulda, 18 months. She also leaves her aged father, Henry Rohlf, one sister, Mrs. Ella Krambeck, and one brother, Otto L. and countless friends. Mrs. Schroeder was a woman of refined character, a loving wife, a kind mother and an affectionate daughter, and is greatly missed by her bereaved husband and her aged and grief stricken father and loving children. During her married life it has been marked with much sickness and severe suffering, but she bore all her pain and trouble with patience and fortitude and courage, and brought sunshine and happiness about her "Home, Sweet Home.: Her last sickness lasted two weeks, when Monday morning, Nov. 13, as the sun had scarcely appeared in the horizon, she breathed her last and that dread disease freed her full and holy spirit from the lamentations of her body. Her funeral took place Thursday, November 16, when at 1 o'clock, the casket, covered with beautiful flowers, which contained her mortal remains was taken from the peaceful home, followed by a large cortege, to the Presbyterian church at Blue Grass, where services were conducted by Rev. Blancke, of Davenport, after which her remains were taken to her long home, in the Blue Grass cemetery, and was laid to rest in everlasting peace. From her primrose path of childhood, Till her life of womanhood When she became marked with pain And suffering e'en though faithful could endure, All who knew her can now answer That her rest is well assured. In her home she could be no longer With her dear little ones around her. She's gone to the home above them, where the angels wait. Somewhere the sun is shining. And those little ones will not be weeping. But in her footsteps will be walking. While her rest goes on in her eternal home. ---- A Friend.
