Description	:	Sallie Bet Teeter, 86, died Monday (Aug. 5, 2002) at Sarah Ann Hester Home in Benkelman. Sallie was born Dec. 31, 1915, in Davie County, N.C., to Samuel and Lola (Cook) Ellis. The family moved to Benkelman in 1920. As a young girl, she attended country school near her family's home northwest of Benkelman. Sallie was born Dec. 31, 1915, in Davie County, N.C., to Samuel and Lola (Cook) Ellis. The family moved to Benkelman in 1920. Sallie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merl; two infant brothers; two infant sisters; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Enfield, and Ray Draper; sister-in-law, Cassie Lee Ellis; and one great-granddaughter. Survivors are: daughters, Vada and husband, Harold Manning of Stratton, and Lela and husband, Donald Fortkamp of Palisade; sisters, Lois Enfield, Blanche Draper, Marjorie and husband, James Riesher, all of Benkelman; brother, Glen Ellis and wife, Betty also of Benkelman; sister-in-law, Cynthia Ellis of Benkelman; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; Interment was in the Benkelman Cemetery, Benkelman, NE.
