Funeral and interment was at Henson's Chapel, December 23, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Mr. Parker in charge. Surviving are the husband, W. D. Combs and the following children: Mrs. T. C. Cain, Southwick, Idaho; Mrs. J. L. McSwain, Gastonia, North Carolina; H. L. Combs, Mabel, North Carolina; Mrs. J. L. Seagraves, West Jefferson; J. P. Combs, Mrs. W. H. Campbell, of Vilas and Mrs. Spencer Miller, of Boone. 34 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, also, survive. Mrs. Combs was a well known, particularly in the western part of the county, where she had attracted a wide friendship through her many sterling traits of womanhood.
