Description	:	Sally Wade Westlake was born in Nobob, Ky., May 23, 1862. As one of a large family she grew to womanhood in the parental home, coming alone to Nebraska in 1887, and finding work near Weeping Water. On May 14, 1891, she was married to Samuel Westlake, and a home was established on a farm one and a half miles east of Eagle, where the remainder of her life was spent. Read More	Sally Wade Westlake was born in Nobob, Ky., May 23, 1862. As one of a large family she grew to womanhood in the parental home, coming alone to Nebraska in 1887, and finding work near Weeping Water. On May 14, 1891, she was married to Samuel Westlake, and a home was established on a farm one and a half miles east of Eagle, where the remainder of her life was spent. During her active years she made her contribution to the community life, always a helpful neighbor, and sharing with her husband the toll of the home and farm. She was also active in the W. C. T. U. and the Aid society of the Eagle Methodist church. As a young woman she was baptized and united with the Baptist church in her Kentucky home, and never gave up her membership in that church. Some eight years ago her health seemed to fail, and for the last two years required constant care. She died July 17, 1939, at the age of 77. She is survived by her husband and one son, Jesse, of Eagle, and two grandchildren, Clinton and Clarence; five sisters, Mrs. Belle Makinster of Sterling, Colo., Mrs. Lula Makinster of Grant, Mrs. Betty Westlake of Lincoln, Mrs. Maggie Douglas of Glasgow, Ky., Mrs. Agnes Norris of Eagle, and one brother, William Wade of Grant. Services were held July 19 in the Eagle Methodist church, Rev. Don Springer and Rev. R. E. Rangeler officiating. Interment was in the Eagle cemetery.
