Description	:	From The Eldon Advertiser, April 4, 1940 Samantha Etta Miller, wife of H. C. Miller, died at her home in Eldon Sunday, March 31, 1940 at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 6 days. Mrs. Miller had been in poor health for several years, but had been bedfast only three weeks. Samantha Etta Enloe was born June 25, 1872, the daughter of Margaret and Enoch Enloe. Read More	From The Eldon Advertiser, April 4, 1940 Samantha Etta Miller, wife of H. C. Miller, died at her home in Eldon Sunday, March 31, 1940 at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 6 days. Mrs. Miller had been in poor health for several years, but had been bedfast only three weeks. Samantha Etta Enloe was born June 25, 1872, the daughter of Margaret and Enoch Enloe. She united with the Mount Olive Baptist Church in 1891 at the age of 19. In 1922 her membership was transferred to the Eldon Baptist Church where she was always a loyal and faithful member. She was married to Henry Clay Miller November 3, 1892. To this union six children were born. They are Wade Miller of East St. Louis; Mrs. Grace Miller of St. Louis; Mrs. E.M. Simpson of Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Willard Henley of Olean; and Truman Miller and Mrs. Harold Bartlett of Eldon, all of whom survive her. There are two surviving sisters, Mrs. Osie Proctor, of Olean, and Mrs. Arthur Alexander of Russellville. Two sisters preceded her in death, Mrs. Sally Shikles and Mrs. Stella Son. Fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren were born. Two of the grandchildren have preceded Mrs. Miller in death. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock by the pastor, the Rev. D.W. Jones. Burial was made at the Enloe cemetery in the neighborhood where Mr. and Mrs. Miller resided for years before moving to Eldon. Contributed by Nancy Arnold Thompson
