Description	:	SAMUEL "SAM" CLARK FETTER November 9, 1925 ~ January 8, 2017 Samuel Clark Fetter passed peacefully away, surrounded by his family on January 8, 2017. He was born on November 9, 1925 to Leslie and Madge Ellen Fetter in Carlyle, Montana. He had three brothers and four sisters. Sam grew up in Harlem, Montana where he learned auto mechanics from his father. He had a lifetime hobby of restoring cars. Read More	SAMUEL "SAM" CLARK FETTER November 9, 1925 ~ January 8, 2017 Samuel Clark Fetter passed peacefully away, surrounded by his family on January 8, 2017. He was born on November 9, 1925 to Leslie and Madge Ellen Fetter in Carlyle, Montana. He had three brothers and four sisters. Sam grew up in Harlem, Montana where he learned auto mechanics from his father. He had a lifetime hobby of restoring cars. Sam enlisted in the US Navy, where he served six years as a medic in the Navy Medical Corp. After his discharge, Sam met and married Arlene Hulse. They had four daughters: Terry Lee, Sherry Lyne, Kerry Laine and Jeri Loy. As a civil engineer, Sam worked and retired from the Montana State Highway Department in Helena, Montana. After retirement, as "snowbirds", Sam and Arlene spent many winters in Mexico and Arizona. They enjoyed travel and making friends from around the world. Sam and Arlene moved to Vancouver, Washington in 1986. He enjoyed family gatherings, classic cars, gardening, and was never without a project. Sam was preceded in death by wife, Arlene; and daughter, Terry Lee. He is survived by daughters, Sherry, Kerry, Jeri; 8 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life for family and friends was held on January 28, 2017 at The Heathman Lodge in Vancouver, Washington. Published in The Columbian, Vancouver, Washington on January 22, 2017
