Description	:	Samuel David Farris, 84, died on Tuesday in Eureka. He had lived at the Metropole hotel for approximately eight years, coming from the Fortuna area where he had resided since 1898. He was originally from Missouri, and had been a woodsman for the E. D. Dodge Lumber company. He was a member of Springville Lodge No. 150, Knights of Pythias since 1900. There are no known survivors.
