Description	:	GREENVILLE: Mr. Samuel Freitus Dawsey, 86, husband of Ruth McCain Dawsey, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008. Mr. Dawsey was born in Aynor, South Carolina, a son of the late Harley Capin and LaValle Rogers Dawsey. Mr. Dawsey was a retired supervisor with the city of Greenville, and a member of Aynor United Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife of 58 years, are a daughter, Louise Caldwell and her husband, Karl, of Hoschton, Ga; two grandchildren, Caitlin Rose Caldwell of Summerville, and Kyle Norris Caldwell of Columbia; one brother, James Arlis Dawsey of Myrtle Beach; and one sister, Shirley D.... Johnson of Galivants Ferry. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Trevejo D. Fore, Roger Lee D. Vaught, and Myrial D. Brock; and one brother, Jayroe Dawsey. Visitation was held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2008 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Tuesday June 24, 2008 at the Aynor United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold Lewis officiating. A local visitation will be held from 2 until 3 p.m. at the church, one hour prior to the Tuesday service. Burial will follow in the Aynor Cemetery.
