He was united in marriage to Ellen Clinkenbeard, in 1871, at Agency, Iowa. Read More	Kearney Daily Hub, Thursday, August 23, 1934 , pg. 6 Samuel Cool was born in Jefferson County, Iowa, November 8, 1851, died August 9, 1934 at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 1 day. He was united in marriage to Ellen Clinkenbeard, in 1871, at Agency, Iowa. After living at Libertyville, Iowa, for ten years, Mr. and Mrs. Cool left there in the fall of 1881 for Nebraska, arriving at Walker's Ranch , near the present site of Wilcox, Neb. They resided here one year, going the next fall to the homestead on the South Loup river where their large family of children has grown to maturity. In the spring of 1919 they moved to Kearney, living there until March , 1925, when Mrs. Cool's death occurred. Since that time Mr. Cool has made his home with different children. The last five years of his life, he made his home with his son Bert and family. Mr. Cool suffered a paralitic stroke twelve years ago, since that time he has been able to get around only with the aid of a crutch, until the past four years he has been confined to his chair and bed. He has been a patient sufferer through these years. The following children are left to mourn his departure. Mrs. Etta Stockdale, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Essie Keyser, Miller Nebr.; Mr. Charles Cool, Pleasanton, Neb.; Mr. Joe Coll, Miller, Neb.; Mr. Bert Cool, Amherst, Neb.; Mr. Sam Cool, Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo,; Mr. Ray Cool, Sumner, Neb. The first child died in infancy. These children, 29 grandchildren, three brothers, James H. Cool, Callaway, Neb.; Hiram F. Cool, Henderson, Iowa; Jacob Cool, Callaway, Neb., and other relatives and a host of friends are left to mourn his departure. Mr. Cool was a kind and loving father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Cool was converted 17 years ago and was a faithful member of the church of the Nazarene in Kearney, Neb., for a number of years when he transferred his membership to the Pilgrim Holiness church of Grand View, where he was faithful as long as he was able to attend.
