Description	:	Samuel was named after his grandfather Samuel LaRue of Hardin County, Kentucky, and was the oldest son of Joseph Wilson and Louisa LaRue Finley, a couple who lived and married in Kentucky per census records and the published genealogy of the LaRue family by descendant Otis Mather, Esq. Joseph and Louisa had daughters born in Kentucky before Sam/uel was (the only one of his siblings to be) born in Illinois, per census records.
