Description	:	Samuel Seymour Skipper, retired railroad man of Andrews, died at 8:10 a.m. Monday at his residence. He had been in declining health for some time. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Andrews Chapel of the Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. G. E. Hinson and the Rev. R. C. Johnson. Burial will be in Andrews Memorial Cemetery, Andrews, Georgetown Co., SC. Mr. Skipper was born April 20, 1882, in Georgetown County and was a son of the late George Washington Skipper and Mrs. Minnie Fryar Skipper (correction: Winniford "Winnie" Cox Fryar). He had worked for the Seaboard Railroad as an engine carpenter until he retired in 1947. He had lived at Hamlet, N.C., for 20 years until he retired and returned to Andrews to make his home. He was a member of the Andrews Baptist Chruch and a member of Harpers Lodge, AFM. Mr. Skipper was twice married. His first wife, the former Miss Annie Danford, died in 1911 and his second wife, the former Miss Juanita Perlie Eaddy, died in 1960 (manager's note-stone shows death 1959). Surviving are two sons, Ralph N. Skipper of North Charleston and John Ernest Skipper of Andrews; seven grandchildren; and a brother James Skipper of Sylvania, Ga.
